Item # F-12090-22 3900 Block of Tulane Ave 34-S (aggravated battery by shooting) 6/12/22 3:53 am, shooting outside of Club Pressure that involved four victims. Unclear if all victims were intended targets, but the multiple perpetrators were clearly looking for a person or group of people.
Item # F-13809-22 S. Murat and Banks Street 65-J (simple car-jacking) 6/13/22 5:14 pm, victim was handling items inside of his vehicle while standing outside of it. He was grabbed and pushed aside by the perpetrator who entered the vehicle and fled the scene. This case appears to be closed by arrest after the vehicle was tracked and an apprehension was made, however please be on the lookout for a light blue Hyundai Tucson (vehicle the perpetrator exited and driven away by an accomplice.) This vehicle could be involved in other robberies and burglaries.
Item # F-15110-22 3000 block of Orleans Ave 34 (aggravated battery) 6/14/22 11:36 pm, common law couple victim stated she and her boyfriend got involved in an argument over money which led to the male striking the victim in the head with a “lifting weight.” The victim contacted police and the male subject was arrested on scene and charged with aggravated battery domestic.
There was a 42 in the 600 Block of N. Hennessey St, at this time I have no information on that. It appears from item comments this involved a known perpetrator while she was intoxicated and therefore didn’t consent.
Besides the violent crime there were numerous vehicle burglaries and thefts, The Shamrock, Canal corridor (Haifa), and Club Pressure and Vandal areas were the vehicle burglary general areas.
