Persons Crimes

Item F-11560-22 3500 Tulane Ave 27/64 (attempt armed robbery) 6/11/22 2:43 pm, victim stated subject known to him as “Will”, Will stated his neighbor was looking for the victim.  The victim walked to the neighbors door where Will struck the victim with a closed fist and demanded money, he later struck the victim with a stick Will had in his possession before fleeing the scene without money.  (open investigation)

FYI this is what’s happened so far this week:

Item # F-12090-22 3900 Block of Tulane Ave 34-S (aggravated battery by shooting) 6/12/22 3:53 am, shooting outside of Club Pressure that involved four victims.  Unclear if all victims were intended targets, but the multiple perpetrators were clearly looking for a person or group of people.

Item # F-13809-22 S. Murat and Banks Street 65-J (simple car-jacking) 6/13/22 5:14 pm, victim was handling items inside of his vehicle while standing outside of it.  He was grabbed and pushed aside by the perpetrator who entered the vehicle and fled the scene.  This case appears to be closed by arrest after the vehicle was tracked and an apprehension was made, however please be on the lookout for a light blue Hyundai Tucson (vehicle the perpetrator exited and driven away by an accomplice.)  This vehicle could be involved in other robberies and burglaries.

There were also shoots fired in the 3700 Block of Conti St under item # F-12920-22 6/12/22 10:07 pm where it appears the shooters had a target, but were unsuccessful.
