Violent crime: E-12952-22 (attempt armed robbery) 64-K (400 Blk S. Lopez St.): Employee of Pizza Dominica was in the 400 Blk of S. Lopez on cigarette break approached by subject who asked for money, victim stated he had none, object pushed into his back, victim observed a knife and perpetrator made unclear statement about money again. The two then struggled over the knife with the victim getting control of the knife and the perpetrator fleeing.
E-09157-22 (aggravated assault) 37 (Ulloa and S. Carrollton): Woman observed “boyfriend” whom she questioned why he didn’t respond to her calls or texts, he was apparently in the company of his “baby mama” who attacked the female. This continued until the “baby mama” retrieved a weapon and pointed it at the female. She later relocated to the 7th District to file a report.
E-11134-22 (aggravated assault) 37 (Canal and City Park): Male subject standing on the corner begging for money when he was approached by another homeless individual and told “he was hungry.” Subject was armed with a knife and threatened to stab the victim. Officers responded and came into contact with the perpetrator who verified the allegation and was arrested.
FYI: There was also an armed car-jacking that occurred on yesterday approximately 11:20 am under item # E-17193-22. The subject was sitting inside his vehicle outside Blair’s Bail Bonds entering information into his GPS when he was approached by a black male subject (armed w/firearm), demanded he exit and fled with the vehicle.
