Item # L-08620-24 (simple robbery)@2900 Block of St. Louis Street 12/9/24 6:47 pm; The male victim was exercising on the Greenway when he was shoved to the ground by another male. His wallet was taken from his person by the perpetrator who fled and was later spotted by Mid-City Security District and 1st District units shortly after the crime at N. Miro and Lafitte Streets. The perpetrator Akim Thomas B/M 8/19/86 was arrested and charged with the simple robbery.
Item # L-10457-24 (aggravated assault)@2727 Canal Street 12/9/24 3:20 pm; The victim, a juvenile high school student, caught the attention of another male juvenile when he was conversing with a female on 12/6/24. The other male had an issue with the two speaking and confronted the male student engaged in conversation. On 12/9/24 the male was approached again by the same male subject who confronted him the Friday before with two other males. At that time the male aggressor had a weapon and threatened him with the gun, pointing it at the victim. At this time the incident is under investigation to identify the perpetrator.
