Carjacking 2/10/26 1:10 am 3000 Block of Tulane Avenue; The victim stated he pulled over to the side of the road and exited his vehicle to search for a cigarette he dropped in his vehicle. Moments after exiting to search the vehicle’s back seat, two black males approached wearing ski masks and at least one with a firearm in his possession. The victim’s 2016 Kia Sedona was taken, fleeing toward Norman Francis Parkway.
Simple carjacking 2/12/26 6:00 pm S. Salcedo and Banks Street; The victim, an Amazon delivery driver, had just dropped a package when a B/M subject approached, shoved her to the ground and took her vehicle which was running. The vehicle is a black 2015 Lexus RX350 La tag # 661CZB, this was her personal vehicle, not Amazon’s property.
Carjacking 2/13/26 7:50 pm 3402 Tulane Avenue; The male victim was seated in his vehicle, talking to another male in the Brown Derby parking lot. At approximately 7:50 pm he was approached by a B/M subject with a firearm who told him to exit his vehicle. The perpetrator stole the vehicle, fleeing the area. The vehicle was spotted by State Police at approximately 11:19 pm in the 2nd District, a chase ensued, and pursuit ended by State Police at Fern and Earhart. The driver Calvin Beasley 11/7/86 was arrested and charged with the carjacking and additional charges related to the vehicle pursuit.
