There were no violent or persons crimes reported during this week, however two persons crimes for the previous were missed, due to the signal not being reported correctly. Both of these persons crimes are listed below and were both domestic in nature.
Item # A-11308-24 1/13/24 1:18 am aggravated assault domestic (3000 Block of St. Peter Street); The victim and her boyfriend were engaged in an argument in their residence when he approached her with a knife and threatened her. The male subject was arrested that morning and the case is cleared by arrest.
Item # A-12012-24 1/13/24 5:30 pm aggravated assault domestic (Conti and N. Norman Francis); This incident started in N.O. East where the victim told her husband she wanted a divorce, he proceeded to follow her to Mid-City where he forced her to stop her vehicle, physically attacked her, and threatened her with a handgun. The perpetrator on that incident is currently wanted for the crime.
Thefts and shopliftings combined are still the dominant crime.

3004 Canal Street was a stolen license plate
803 Taft Place was a package theft
2801 Tulane Avenue a missing dolly at U-Haul
309 N. Carrollton Avenue a package theft
520 S. Alexander Street a package theft
4407 S. Carrollton Avenue missing computers from the school
In reference to some of the package thefts Daniel Patrick Marino W/M 10/10/75 has been identified as the perpetrator of some of those crimes and is currently wanted. You have his picture that I’ve sent to you a few times, the last being the best and clearest. The 3rd District is working to connect him to additional package thefts.
The other locations were the usual business shopliftings.

1/19/24 9:45 pm 3500 Block of Banks Street 2019 white Volkswagen Atlas (the victim left his keys in house front door accidently when he entered his home, when he thought about it he went outside observing the keys and his vehicle gone)
