Persons Crimes

Item # A-08258-23 1/9/23 2:00 am (aggravated assault) 300 Block of S. Telemachus Street.  Gist:  The victim witnessed a white Hyundai driven by several B/M’s committing vehicle burglaries near his home in the 100 Block of S. Genois.  The victim went inside his residence to get his vehicle keys to attempt to follow the perpetrators to get a license plate number of the Hyundai.  When the victim came outside his residence the vehicle was gone, but he canvassed the area and located the vehicle in the 300 Block of S. Telemachus Street.  At that time the perpetrators observed the victim and fired several shots in his direction, the victim then fled the area.  

There were 7 vehicle burglaries, most committed on 1/9/23 in the early morning hours and appear connected.

There were 9 auto thefts, most occurring on 1/10/23 but various times and locations.

Right now auto thefts are the most prominent property crime, Hyundai(s) and Kia(s) are the most stolen makes.
