Item # F-15969-23 6/16/23 8:10 pm car-jacking@100 Block North Alexander;  The victims arrived at their bed and breakfast (4333 Canal Street), parking in the 100 Block of N. Alexander Street.  The male subject was removing items from the vehicle’s trunk (2022 Ford Mustang), while the female was seated in the front passenger seat.  Suddenly both were approached by two B/M’s, both with guns and while the female was still seated in the vehicle.  Several property items were stolen from the victims, including the vehicle.  

The next day 6/17/23 Ford contacted NOPD with tracking information, VCAIT along with SOD began tracking the vehicle, making contact with the vehicle at the Waffle House in Algiers conducting surveillance eventually following the vehicle to N.O. East where the perpetrators parked and exited the vehicle near their neighborhood, both perpetrators were arrested after brief foot pursuits.  One weapon was recovered from the two perpetrators.

     Zone N01 had activity again with a vehicle theft and vehicle burglary, there were several thefts/shopliftings in the Carrollton corridor and a business burglary at 4101 S. Carrollton Avenue (ABC Title) where the employees left the rear entry door unlocked.  There is surveillance photos I sent to you all that 3rd District DIU is looking for assistance in locating the lookouts on that crime, please check that e-mail.
