500 Block of S. Olympia Street 5/6/24 simple rape;  This was an allegation of acquaintance rape.

3000 Block of Cleveland Avenue 5/7/24 indecent behavior;  The victim alleged 6 years ago a former neighbor touched her inappropriately.

2800 Block of Orleans Avenue 5/8/24 sexual battery;  The victim alleged she was sexually assaulted by a family member.

400 Block of N. Carrollton Avenue 5/9/24 11:30 pm attempt rape;  The victim and her cousin, both females, left Blue Oak BBQ walking and noticed a dark skin B/M subject following them.  That subject eventually tackled one of the women and attempted to remove that female’s clothing.  A B/F passerby who observed the incident exited her vehicle with a tire iron causing the perpetrator to flee.  The two females were transported to Walgreens by that B/F where police were contacted, the perpetrator fled river bound on the Lafitte Greenway then unknown.    

Item # E-10211-24 5/10/24 11:52 pm (armed robbery) @Tulane and S. Solomon;  The victims had just exited their vehicle, parked in an empty lot near the intersection when 4-5 B/M subjects exited a black Dodge Durango with weapons demanding the vehicle and other property.  The perpetrators stole the vehicle a black 2022 Chevy Camaro La tag # 503GGJ (VIN # 1G1FB1RX6N0108908), and a Taurus G2C 9mm handgun serial # TLZ63313.

     There was a concentration of activity on Cleveland between the 2900- 3500 Blocks (vehicle burglaries and auto thefts).  There were two arrests of juveniles in connection with vehicle burglaries in the early morning hours of 5/9/24 near Cleveland Avenue.
