The map reflects an increase in vehicle burglaries, outpacing auto thefts this past week. My opinion is there may be a shortage of weapons, the areas targeted are the Shamrock and a the Tulane/Carrollton Avenue corridor. Continue patrols around the gas stations, Tulane/Norman Francis, N. St. Patrick/Canal, and Orleans and Broad and the business corridors on Broad between Tulane and Orleans and the Carrollton corridor. Those locations have been our robbery and car-jacking spots, particularly late night and early morning hours.
There was a complaint received pertaining to loitering around S. White and Banks and prostitution in Comiskey Park during various hours.
