Persons Crimes

Item # I-05648-23 car-jacking occurred in the 600 Block of N. Carrollton Avenue on 9/6/23 at 7:45 pm.  The victim was specifically parked in front of 631 N. Carrollton Avenue sitting in his vehicle (2018 Nissan Rogue), on the phone and eating.  As stated, at approximately 7:45 pm a B/M subject knocked on the victim’s driver side window and when the victim looked up he observed a gun pointed at him stating “get out the fucking car, I’m not kidding.”  The victim exited and notified the perpetrator the keys were inside the vehicle and the car was push to start.  The perpetrator then fled in the vehicle south on N. Carrollton Avenue.  The perpetrator (Dewitt Madison 2/21/83) was arrested after committing a second robbery in the 8th District later that night. 

     There were 4 vehicle thefts reported on Friday alone, we took the most UCR’s on Friday which was 5 total including a vehicle burglary.
