1:15am Mid-City Patrol– Attempted Auto Theft. S/O Clarke reports he stopped a auto Theft in progress in 4800 block of Conti Street. On routine patrol he noticed a compact black car sitting in the middle of the street it had a busted out back window and no License plate, as he was making a u-turn to go back for a closer look a short Blk Female wearing a hoodie came out and jumped in the drivers seat and fled. S/O Clarke checked the area she came from and discovered a gold colored Honda Tucson with it’s rear window broken out upon futher inspection he noticed the steering column was broken. He made contact with the cars owner and informed them he also notified a patrolling NOPD officer to BOLO for the car being driven by the Blk. Female.
